An especially decorative six-sided example featuring raised figural panels on each face, scrolling relief borders and a richly aged gold-toned/gilt surface. The removable pierced lid is topped by a seated figural finial, allowing incense smoke to escape through the openwork design.

The underside bears the two-character 清富 (Seifu) maker's mark. Seifu is associated with the Takaoka metalworking tradition of Japan, an area long recognized for cast bronze and copper vessels, Buddhist objects and decorative incense burners.

Measures approximately 5.75" tall × 3.75" wide × 3.75" deep and weighs approximately 1 lb 12 oz.

Vintage condition with substantial age-related surface wear, rubbing, scratches, oxidation/patina and areas of loss to the gold-toned finish.
