They have a heavy wooden structure and extra padding in the seat for comfort. These chairs have an abundance of uses including dining chairs, side chairs, or even for a pull up to a warm and cozy fireplace for relaxation, maybe even for a romantic interlude. They may also be used as corner decoration in a guest suite., or might also be used for intimate conversations for guests in the hosts bedroom. Endless uses including perhaps for extra seating at a game table. The luxurious cotton blend fabric was chosen in the 1950s for it's feathery Fortuny style design in a sea-foam corrugated cotton/blend fabric. I found this pair of Parsons chairs in an elegant antique store in Beverly Hills California. Up to seat 18". See less
