This is a substantial, highly decorative frame with a rich red finish accented by antique gold gilt tones. The wide profile features elaborate raised foliate and scroll ornament, molded corner embellishments, layered inner borders and a warm distressed gold finish that gives the frame considerable architectural presence.
The deep red panels provide a striking contrast against the gilded decoration, making this particularly well suited to an oil painting, portrait, Old World landscape or other traditional artwork. The frame is unused/new old stock and retains protective cardboard corner coverings shown in the photographs.
