The shallow circular bowl is raised on a short ringed pedestal stem above a broad circular cut foot, giving the piece a balanced traditional profile.

The clear cut crystal is decorated with alternating elongated vertical wedge cuts above a lower field of diamond and cross-mitre cutting. The compact pedestal construction and broad foot are consistent with the documented CM45M1 form. Replacements records this exact round compote at 4.125 inches high × 5 inches wide; the present example measures approximately 4.25 inches high × 5 inches in maximum diameter.

The maker mark is present, confirming Waterford manufacture. “Compotes” is retained only as the Replacements collection/category designation rather than being presented as a named decorative pattern. No narrower production date is assigned because the supplied reference does not document exact years.
