PLEASE NOTE: band is more aqua color than shown in the photo.

The plate is finished with the distinctive green band around the rim, a harder-to-find variation of the discontinued Birds of Britain collection.

Designed by celebrated British ceramic designer Susan Williams-Ellis, founder of Portmeirion Pottery, the Birds of Britain series was introduced in the 1970s and is known for its detailed natural-history bird illustrations and classic English character. Crafted in England, the collection has become increasingly appealing to collectors, particularly the less commonly encountered green-band pieces.

Measuring 7¼” diameter, this smaller bread and butter plate is equally appealing for serving or display. Its botanical bird motif works beautifully in English country, cottage, coastal, rustic, traditional, and collected interiors.
