Antique American Classical Sheraton dressing table in richly figured flame mahogany, featuring an adjustable rectangular mirror framed by dramatic lyre-form supports, two drawers, turned legs, brass casters and a shaped lower shelf. Dating to approximately 1825–1835, the piece reflects the transition from the refined Federal and Sheraton tradition toward the more sculptural American Classical style.
Beautifully figured mahogany veneers distinguish the drawer fronts, case and molded mirror frame. The two drawers retain turned wood pulls and brass key escutcheons, while the slender turned legs and original-style brass casters give the substantial form a surprisingly graceful profile. The large scrolling lyre supports make this an especially decorative example of the period.
At just 34 inches wide, it offers unusual versatility for an early 19th-century piece. Ideal as a bedroom dressing table or vanity, but equally appealing as a small writing table or decorative accent in a guest room or dressing area. The aged mirror plate retains attractive period character.

Structurally sound and presents exceptionally well. less
