Expertly modeled from ceramic earthenware, the sculpture features intricate facial sculpting with a snarling open mouth revealing sculpted fangs and tongue, piercing glass-like painted eyes, and hand-modeled chest fur. The entire body is enveloped in a brilliant high-gloss majolica-style glaze, featuring rich ochre-orange and tawny hues accented with bold hand-painted black stripes, a creamy-white underbelly, and fine age-induced micro-crazing that enhances its authentic artisanal depth.

A quintessential statement floor sculpture for an entryway foyer, grand salon, fireplace hearth, sunroom, or styled beside a bold velvet sofa, this magnificent piece brings iconic vintage charisma to Hollywood Regency, Maximalist, Safari Chic, Mid-Century Modern, or Eclectic Bohemian interiors. To care for the glossy ceramic glaze, routine dusting with a soft, dry microfiber cloth is recommended, avoiding abrasive chemical cleaners or harsh scrubbing. Dimensions measure 25.25 inches in width, 14.25 inches in depth, and 28.25 inches in total height. The statue is in very good vintage condition, structurally sound and completely stable with no chips or cracks, displaying minor surface scuffs, faint glaze pooling, and light vintage crazing consistent with age and careful preservation.
