The box features finely detailed hand-painted floral designs on both the front and back accented by rich cobalt blue and gold gilt striped borders.
It is outfitted with Brass framing, complete with a miniature top carrying handle, a secure hinged latch, and four tiny round brass feet on the base.

Hallmarked – Limoges France Peint main – and the artist initials are J. D.
** This script signature belongs to J.D. Dumont, a highly prolific and well-documented porcelain artist who painted pieces for several prominent ateliers in Limoges, France.

Measures : 1” T x 2 “ W x 1” D

In very good pre-loved condition. No chips or cracks
Hand-painted flowers and leaves are lovely with no noticeable paint loss.
Gold gilt still has its bright luster.
Hinges works perfectly.
The clasps require some slight adjustment, the box does not close flush.
The handle does not stay in the upright position.
