Exquisite, large Chinese porcelain covered box features a vibrant famille rose decoration of a dragon and phoenix amid colorful clouds. It dates to the Guangxu reign of the Qing dynasty (1875–1908). Gilt accents and multicolored key-fret borders complete the design. The underside bears the six-character iron-red Guangxu reign mark, reading “Made during the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing dynasty.” Its vibrant palette and auspicious imagery complement Chinoiserie, Asian Traditional, Grandmillennial, and Maximalist interiors, whether displayed on a console, coffee table, or bookshelf.
