Beautiful vintage Persian silver footed dish featuring exceptionally detailed hand-chased floral and foliate decoration, likely originating from Isfahan, Iran.
The scalloped, flower-form dish is richly decorated with traditional Persian motifs worked across the broad border and central medallion. Large raised blossoms alternate with intricate scrolling floral and arabesque designs, creating wonderful texture and depth. The dish rests on three small ball feet, giving it a slightly elevated presentation.
The underside bears several hand-struck silversmith marks, including an apparent “84” silver standard mark, traditionally associated with approximately .875 silver purity. Additional Persian workshop or maker's marks are present but have not been conclusively identified.
The piece weighs approximately 159 grams.
This is a particularly attractive example of Persian decorative metalwork. Unlike simpler engraved export pieces, the extensive hand chasing and repoussé-style raised floral decoration give the dish substantial visual character.
It would be beautiful displayed on a coffee table, console, desk, or incorporated into a collection of Middle Eastern, Persian, Islamic, or antique silver.
