An impressive matched pair of vintage display cabinets by Mastercraft of Grand Rapids, featuring the glamorous brass-and-glass construction for which the company is celebrated.
Standing an imposing 86 inches tall, each cabinet features a warm brass-finished architectural frame with glass-paneled sides and doors, creating an exceptionally open and luminous presentation. The upper display section is fitted with adjustable glass shelving and integrated recessed lighting, beautifully illuminating artwork, glassware, collectibles, or decorative objects. A separate lower glass-front compartment provides additional display or storage space.
The substantial molded brass door surrounds give the cabinets considerably more depth and presence than simpler brass vitrines, while their tall, narrow proportions make the pair especially striking when positioned together, flanking a doorway or console, or used symmetrically within a dining room, living room, library, or dressing room.
Both cabinets retain their Mastercraft of Grand Rapids labels.
The pair presents beautifully and is in very good vintage condition, approximately 8.5/10. The brass finish retains an attractive warm luster with some scattered areas of light oxidation, spotting, surface wear and minor imperfections consistent with age and use. These details are most noticeable upon close inspection and do not detract from the overall presentation. Glass shelves and panels are present as shown.
