This classic Morris chair, the first chair designed to recline at intervals, features unattached, deep seat and back cushions supported by a rigid wood framework and steel seat support straps. Its curved, sweeping arms are supported by turned posts at the front, which match the traditional ball-turned front feet. The cushions are reupholstered in soft yet durable forest green woven fabric.
The reclining mechanism uses notched horizontal wood supports extending from the back of the frame to adjust the angle of recline. These extensions give the chair a jaunty illusion of movement.
Dimensions: 35 in wide by 45 in deep by 34.5 in high, seat height 19.5 in and arm height 4 in.
