Antique Charles Oudin French Brass Crystal Gorge-Cased Timepiece Carriage Clock

Made in Paris Circa: 1860–1870.
Approx. 5 1/2" High to Top of Handle x 3" Long x 3" Wide.
The clean, rectangular white enamel dial features crisp radial Roman hour numerals and an outer Arabic five-minute track.
Features elegant blued steel Breguet-style hands and is clearly signed across the lower center: “Ch.les Oudin, H.ger de la Marine de l’Etat, Palais-Royal, 52, Paris.
An eight-day duration mechanical timepiece-only (non-striking) movement.
Visible through the top oval window is the original, silvered platform lever escapement featuring a bimetallic temperature-compensated balance wheel with regulation screws.
The brass backplate is finely engraved in cursive script with "Aiguilles" and an directional arrow pointing toward the time-setting arbor.
The lower section features an exposed ratchet-and-clink mechanism over the mainspring barrel arbor.
Housed in a premium gilt-brass "Gorge" style case with classic multi-tiered molded corner pillars, a classic hinged overhead carrying handle, and five pristine beveled glass viewing panels. The rear panel functions as a hinged door with a small pull pin to access the winding arbors. The solid brass underside plate is unnumbered and beautifully preserved.
Great used antique condition. The brass case is in excellent, clean cosmetic condition with minimal surface oxidation or wear. The five beveled glass panels are clear and completely free of chips or cracks. Enamel face is pristine with no visible hairlines, spidering, or chips ;Offered "As Is". Mechanical running condition is untested as the clock is currently missing its winding key.
