A charming piece of vintage American hotelware, this petite oval platter pairs classic blue-and-white china with a wonderfully graphic pictorial border. Alternating panels incorporate American eagle imagery alongside florals, fruit and smaller decorative motifs, giving the piece an almost archival Americana quality.
Made as commercial hotel or restaurant china, the platter has the pleasing substance and durability characteristic of early American hospitality ware. At just 9.5 inches long, it translates beautifully to the modern table for appetizers, bread, cheese or sweets—and is equally compelling layered into a collected blue-and-white display.
