1956 Okinwan folk dance, Eisa global drum, featuring a cowhide drumhead with bright red lacquered body and stylish gold & black trim. Its rich cultural heritage and punchy color contrast make a bold statement piece within global-boho or curated maximalist.
The Okinawan folk dance drum originated in the early 17th century (specifically around 1603), by the Buddhist monk Taichu Shonin as a religious chanting ritual to honor ancestors.
