This is a vintage mid-century modern atomic-age student desk featuring a light-colored laminate (Formica/melamine) top, black wrought iron hairpin legs, and an attached side unit with an open black metal wire mesh shelf and a lower storage tier. This style is characteristic of 1950s/1960s industrial and school furniture design, often attributed to makers like Arthur Umanoff or Loroman. Featured in an Elton John record cover.
Dimensions: 40"L x 20"W x 28"H
The height of the rod underneath the top (knee clearance) is at an angle measuring 23" to 27" from each side. My desk has a knee clearance of 24" so I believe most adults would fit comfortably at this desk.
Condition: Very nice and clean.
