This is a stunning, authentic pair of vintage Peruvian "Mate Burilado" hand-carved gourd bird sculptures. These beautiful folk art pieces are hand-crafted by skilled artisans from the Andean highlands of Peru, making them excellent additions to global home decor, boho styling, or specialized Latin American folk art collections.

Using traditional pyro-engraving techniques passed down through generations, each natural gourd is meticulously etched using a fine chisel (buril) and shaded through fire-etching to achieve rich tones of brown, tan, and black.

- Large Bird: Measures approx. 16 inches long/tall. Features elegant geometric bands, scrolling accents, and medallion patterns showcasing native bird designs. Rests securely on two round metal feet.
