This lovely Chippendale chair was constructed in Britain in the mid-1700s. With its Gothic inspired back splat with rosettes, voluted ears and ball and claw feet, this piece showcases the skills of a master carver. The fantastically embroidered seat was made in 1954, creating a connection between two skilled craftspeople spanning the course of 200 years.
Broader than many chairs of this period, it is an accommodating and versatile piece. We hope it finds a home in which the time and care spent making it is appreciated!
