A 19th century salesman sample of a Victorian mahogany balloon-back side chair with a carved, scrolling crest rail, open pierced splat, upholstered seat in a dusty mauve chenille fabric, shaped seat rail, turned and fluted front legs tapering to small turned feet and plain and raked rear legs. No maker’s mark.
