Lived in my grandmothers living room for decades untouched and unsat on.
Style: Victorian / "Lincoln Style" Nursing or Sewing Rocker
Period: Late 19th Century to Early 20th Century (Circa 1890–1920).
Materials: Solid hardwood frame with natural woven mesh cane inserts.
Design Features: Curved, comfort-contoured high backrest, stylized "whale-tail" sculpted armrests, geometric lower back slats, and clean turned-wood front legs and stretchers.
Frame: Sturdy wood joinery, rocks smoothly, normal surface wear/patina consistent with age.Caning: Hand-woven cane on the seat and backrest is fully intact, firm, and free of holes or major sagging.

The structural frame is rock-solid with no wobbles, and the natural woven cane on both the seat and backrest is fully intact, taut, and free of damage. The only minor cosmetic flaw is that 3 out of the 4 small, decorative wood plugs covering the recessed screw holes on the back frame are missing. This is purely aesthetic and does not affect the chair's sturdiness. less
