The square or octagon platter is slightly concave … Read more This is a vintage modern abstract studio pottery platter by Eric Norstad. The square or octagon platter is slightly concave with a wide circular foot. It has his characteristic style of strong brushwork of blue and brown oxides against a lighter background. Not so often seen, there is additional decoration in the form of vertical lines impressed into the clay. The platter is 14 1/2" by 14 1/2" with a height of 3". It is signed Norstad on the back. There is a tiny nick on the edge (see photo 5).
