A rare and functional piece of mid-century industrial design, this 1940s Warren Telechron "Selector" (Model 8H55) household timer clock features a rich, dark brown molded Bakelite housing with classic Art Deco flared side columns. Designed as both a tabletop clock and an automatic appliance timer, the back panel includes controls for time adjustment and the original rear outlet interface for cycling radios or home appliances.
The circular face is framed by a gold-tone inner bezel and an outer timing ring with red and white indicators. Updated with a vintage-style woven cloth power cord, this clock makes a striking accent piece for a desk, mantle, or side table.
