Striking vintage Italian-style Neoclassical armchair featuring an intricately carved giltwood frame with sculptural bird-form arms and an open botanical fan back. The aged gilt finish has developed a beautifully distressed patina that accentuates the carved details and gives the chair a wonderfully timeworn character.
The chair is upholstered in a soft blue-green botanical floral fabric with coordinating upholstered arm pads. Elegant proportions, tapered carved legs and the dramatic sculptural frame give the piece a distinctive Hollywood Regency quality.
