Original Ikebana bowl designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard, one of Denmark’s most renowned glass manufacturers.
The Ikebana series is a beautiful example of Danish glass design, combining an organic, sculptural form with the rich colour and substantial weight characteristic of Holmegaard art glass. Inspired by the Japanese art of flower arrangement, the design works equally well as a functional flower bowl or as a decorative object in its own right.
This example is made from thick green art glass, with a flowing organic shape that beautifully reflects and refracts light. Its generous 30 cm diameter gives the piece a strong visual presence.
A striking collectible object for interiors inspired by Danish Modern, Scandinavian Modern and Mid-Century design.
