This set features a natural, sculptural live-edge burl wood display pedestal paired with two vintage hand-etched Lanzhou-style pyrography gourds.

The Burl Wood Display Pedestal:

Carved from a natural root burl, this dual-tiered pedestal showcases exquisite, highly figured grain patterns, deep rich tones, and rugged natural contours. The two flat cut display platforms are tailored for small fine art objects, ikebana accessories, or scholar’s rocks. To ensure stability during display, the top surfaces feature a discrete application of removable mounting paste that holds the gourds securely in place without transferring or leaving residue.

The Pyrography Gourds:

Complementing the pedestal are two fine vintage gourds delicately decorated using traditional fire-etching (pokerwork) techniques.

Teardrop Gourd (1.75" × 2.25"): Features detailed renderings of traditional female maidens surrounded by natural landscapes and fine linear motifs.

Spherical Gourd (1.75" × 1.75"): Features Guanyin / immortal iconography alongside calligraphic prose, traditional seal stamps, and fine geometric border work.
