This is a particularly substantial example, measuring over 18 inches long and made from thick, heavy amber glass. The elongated oval form has integrated handles at either end, with clear amber glass openings beautifully framed by the elaborate gold decoration.

The wide border is covered in intricate scrolling floral and foliate motifs with a richly textured gold finish. In the center, the underside of the glass features a striking radiating starburst or floral motif that catches the light beautifully through the deep honey-amber glass.

Its unusually large scale makes it equally beautiful as a serving platter, bar tray, vanity tray or displayed on a dining table or sideboard as a decorative centerpiece.
