Stunning mid-century modern ceramic pedestal bowl/chalice designed by legendary artistic director Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy. This exquisite piece belongs to the highly collectible "Seta" (Silk) series, circa 1960s.
The bowl showcases a mesmerizing, deeply textured visual contrast: a finely ribbed horizontal pedestal base paired with an intricate, scale-like vertical relief pattern around the body. It features a rich, deep teal and forest green glaze, masterfully accented with luxurious, hand-painted metallic gold trim along the rim, base, and ridges.
The unglazed bottom is fully authenticated with the original hand-painted factory markings: "9261/B" (the official Bitossi shape/size catalog number) and "MADE ITALY."
