This antique soup tureen from the renowned Villeroy & Boch Mettlach factory, dating from 1887-1909, is from the Phoenix series and is crafted from high-quality ceramic and earthenware. The tureen features a matching lid with a loop handle and two decorative side handles. It features a hand-painted pattern of exotic birds perched on branches with colorful flowers, and is finished with a burgundy border around the rim. It has a crack in the lid, a crack in the glaze, and discoloration inside.
