A large Spanish hand-painted earthenware lebrillo bowl executed in the traditional Fajalauza style.
The bowl is decorated by hand in the characteristic green palette associated with the historic ceramic tradition of Fajalauza. The interior features a stylized central floral motif surrounded by freely painted wavy and foliate patterns, creating a bold and highly decorative composition.
The broad open form, visible throwing lines and expressive freehand brushwork retain the rustic character of traditional Spanish pottery. The exterior is left largely undecorated, revealing the warm terracotta body and emphasizing the handmade character of the piece.
Dimensions: Diameter 41 cm (16.1 in); Height 12 cm (4.7 in).
Condition: Good condition. Light craquelure is visible throughout the glazed interior, together with minor surface irregularities and variations inherent to hand-made and hand-painted pottery.
