The dark, mottled patch on the body is a natural stone inclusion or contrasting chalcedony/agate layering, often highlighted through traditional clever carving (qiaoshi) techniques. The bottle itself is a caramel-colored hard stone.

This portable bottle was used to hold powdered tobacco (snuff) and features a small fitted spoon attached to the stopper. The top is made of a polished volcano agate featuring a translucent, smoky-purple dome with natural mineral patterns.

The bottle is in very good preloved condition with a few minor imperfections as a result of age and normal use.

Dimensions: Height: 2 1/8", Width: 1 3/4” Depth: 3/4". It weighs 1.76 ounces or 50 grams. See less
