The sides are adorned with hand painted floral sprays and gilt accents, all set within a brass or ormolu mount. The box closed fine by does not snap shut (not sure if it has s supposed to). The box appears to be mostly painted but the figures appear to be dye transfers. It is signed by the artist and marked with a gold triangle.

This box is very large and heavy. It measures 11” x 7.5” x 5.5” (at the top of the dome).
