Offering for you is a lovely mid century modern Italian ceramic eathenware bowl with sgraffito raised relief abstract flower designs in turquoise. Made by Sacra from Florence Italy.in the 1950's. It stands for Societe Anonima Ceramiche Artishche. This company was established in 1924 in Sesto Fiorentini, Florence Italy. It was created by 3 former employees of the Richard Ginori Company. It closed in the 1950's.
This gem of a bowl is numbered and signed on the bottom" Italia GG 5049-1" From the 1950's.
This could now house makeup brushes in a bathroom, breadsticks for a table, matches, pencils and pens for a desk, flower and on and on. It is fabulous just as a decorative unusual ceramic object to be placed anywhere.
The ceramic background in a light brown tan color is rough textured.
The opening at the top is 2" W. Inside the interior is a white color.
