Striking vintage hand-blown art glass lamp shade featuring a dramatic sculptural flame or crown-form upper rim. The shade is crafted in substantial glass with an organic white mottled lower body transitioning into rich brown, burgundy and near-black spotted decoration toward the upper portion.
The irregular pulled-glass points around the opening give the shade a wonderfully expressive, almost flame-like silhouette. When illuminated, the opaque white glass softly diffuses the light while the darker spotted decoration becomes warmer and more translucent, creating a beautiful atmospheric glow.
The shade has a 3-inch fitter and is designed to mount into a compatible lamp fixture. The fitter rim features three small mounting holes positioned around the base, designed to accommodate the three retaining/set screws that secure the glass shade to the lamp fixture. Please review the photographs and measurements carefully to ensure compatibility with your fixture.
Its substantial 2-pound weight, hand-formed irregularities and sculptural character make this an especially decorative replacement shade for a vintage table lamp, accent lamp or compatible lighting fixture. Equally attractive displayed unlit as a piece of decorative art glass.
