The exterior is fashioned from rich, dark brown leather, its surface beautifully supple and remarkably well-preserved. Adorning the front are hallmarked silver mounts (Birmingham, 1898), elegantly set in each corner, framing an ornate monogram of intertwined letters “CWH” at its center — a touch of personal history and classic Victorian style.
