A sculptural stoneware fruit bowl designed by Fridegart Glatzle for Karlsruher Majolika in West Germany during the 1970s. The broad flared rim rests on a raised foot, while hand-worked spiral details and irregular glaze runs give the balanced form a distinctly tactile quality.
The matte glaze combines earthy brown and grey with areas of slate blue, creating subtle variations across the surface. Measuring 27 cm in diameter, the bowl is suitable for fruit or can be displayed empty on a dining table or low sideboard, where its interior and raised profile remain visible.
