Porcelain figurine depicting a boy squeezing grapes into a small bowl, finely hand-painted and enhanced with gilded details. Produced in first quality porcelain and marked with the Meissen crossed swords. Origin: Germany. Material: Porcelain. Dimensions: H. 11 cm, W. 7 cm. Period: Early 20th century. Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. Meissen was founded in 1710 and is Europes oldest porcelain manufactory. The factory became world-renowned for its true hard-paste porcelain and its finely modelled figurines, hand-painted by some of the finest porcelain decorators of the period. Meissens figurines from the 18th and 19th centuries set the standard for European porcelain production and remain among the most sought-after works by collectors today. See less
