The underside is exceptionally well marked and identifies the piece as Richard-Ginori, Pittoria di Doccia, with the historic 1924 design reproduced at Doccia in 1996. This example is from a remarkably small numbered edition of only 100, with this bowl being No. 30/100. The underside is also inscribed as hand-painted, adding to its desirability for collectors of Italian porcelain and decorative arts.

The composition features a reclining classical female figure surrounded by flowing drapery and suspended rope motifs against an intense cobalt ground. The combination of classical imagery, saturated blue porcelain, and meticulous hand-painted detailing gives the bowl an unmistakably sophisticated Italian decorative-arts presence.
