Exquisite pair of vintage porcelain sighthound figurines by the revered luxury home furnishings brand, Maitland-Smith. Capturing the elegant, athletic silhouette of the whippet or greyhound, these stylized statues perfectly embody Hollywood Regency sophistication and classic Grandmillennial charm.
Each figurine features a glossy, milk-white glazed porcelain body crafted in the People’s Republic of China, which was then sent to Hong Kong to be intricately hand-painted with striking black spot motifs before being re-fired. One figurine retains its original, authentic gold-foil Maitland-Smith Ltd. label on the underside, ensuring its provenance and value for serious collectors.
The dogs each measure about 7 1/2 inches tall.
