Italian modern brown storage trolley Boby by Joe Colombo for Bieffeplast, 1970s
Storage trolley model Boby in brown ABS, featuring a compact vertical structure with a rectangular base, a top storage tray, swivel drawers, and open side compartments. It is equipped with six drawers that rotate outwards on a side pivot, providing easy access to their contents, while a removable section of the top allows access to a full-height vertical compartment extending through the entire structure. Fitted with castors for easy mobility. Its modular, functional design and versatility make this trolley one of the most iconic examples of Italian industrial design from the 1970s.
Produced by Bieffeplast and designed by Joe Colombo, 1970s. Designer’s signature embossed on the base.
Fair condition, with light signs of age. It shows light surface scratches, minor abrasions, and small signs of use across the ABS surface, consistent with the object’s age and use. Castors and opening mechanisms are fully functional.
