Standing … Read more An impressive and highly decorative Palm Tree floor lamp, designed by Christian Techoueyres for Maison Jansen, France, circa 1970. Standing at an impressive 150 cm (59.06 inches) high, this sculptural floor lamp is entirely handcrafted from brass.

The tall palm trunk features individually worked brass elements, creating a richly textured surface, while the large, dramatically shaped palm leaves form an expressive canopy above.
The integrated light sources are concealed amongst the foliage, producing a warm atmospheric glow that beautifully illuminates the hand-cut openings in the brass leaves. When switched on, the lamp creates a striking interplay of light and shadow.

The brass has developed a beautiful deep patina, giving the lamp a particularly sculptural and almost Brutalist appearance while retaining the glamorous character associated with 1970s French interiors.
Mounted on its original architectural black square base with brass detailing.
