c. 1940s-1950s; The Lanshire Clock and Instrument Company - Chicago
Western‑themed novelty electric mantel clock on a rope‑molded plinth, pairing a saddled parade horse with a horseshoe bezel lettered "TIME FOR LUCK." Cast‑metal case with bronzed and blackened finish; dial with stylized numerals and floral center; small pasture horses flank the fence below. Retains period cord and a decorative bead rein from bridle to bezel.
Chicago's Lanshire supplied synchronous electric movements to many mid‑century novelty‑clock makers including MasterCrafters (Chicago) and United Clock Corp. (Brooklyn), helping popularize whimsical, novelty, and themed figural clocks for American mantels and desks.
