Electrically illuminated revolving advertising clock with a warm wood case, dual display panels, and bold Art Deco-inspired numerals. The left panel features a square clock face outlined in neon tubing, while the right side houses a motorized ad drum that rotates printed advertisements, in this case the Lincoln Continental and the Lincoln Zephyr. This mechanical movement allows multiple inserts to be displayed in sequence, creating a continuous, eye-catching presentation. A label inside identifies Electric Ad Clock Co. of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, one of the mid-century's best-known makers of electric advertising displays for dealerships, restaurants, and small businesses.
The Electric Ad Clock Company produced illuminated clocks designed for dual-purpose use-timekeeping and local advertising-using dependable synchronous motors and replaceable card panels.
