A French staple in any of the classes sitting rooms, this 1880-1890s French Louis XV style gilded parlor chair with rococo elements in the sturdy hand carved frame finished in 23k gold leaf, burnished and matte finishes, typical gold wear from 150 years of loving use.
Exposed back brace over corresponding silk fabric BUT, it's time to reupholster to your taste as this original or near original 'tissues' has done it time, intact but worn.
