Antique European hand-carved wooden dough bowl or trencher, carved from a single solid piece of wood with integrated handles at either end. Its shallow, organic form features a richly aged warm brown patina, visible hand-carving marks, and subtle incised detailing along the handles.
The surface retains extensive character from age and use, including checking, scratches, worn edges, tonal variation, and darkened areas throughout. The irregularities of the carving and wear give the piece a particularly sculptural quality.
Beautiful displayed alone as an object, styled as a low centerpiece, or used to hold decorative objects.
