Newly refinished mid century modern asymmetric rosewood writing desk on black lacquered base, made in Denmark c. 1970s.
The drop leaf is suspended off to the side when not in use, connected to the tabletop with brass hinges. The surface slides leftwards to bring the leaf over the desk’s frame, supporting it for regular weight-bearing use.
Both the rosewood top and beechwood legs are newly refinished in clear and black satin lacquer, respectively.
