Almost identical, save … Read more Regal set of hand carved walnut armchairs featuring the open balloon back design and plum velvet upholstery. Almost identical, save for one sporting a floral crest, and slightly different carving, as one would find in hand carved furniture of the mid 1800's. Uncertain of the age of the velvet. Even though it has some fading, the fabric is in good structural condition, with no shedding. The chairs were used as decor in a master bedroom suite, and not subject to daily use. I have sat in them but I did so delicately. See less
