Offered is a vintage Radius One double tray desk organizer designed by William Sklaroff in 1963 and produced by Smith Metal Arts. It's heavy and sturdy and well designed, made from extruded polished aluminum with a faux leather black lining in both trays and black enamel finish on the inner walls. Original sticker attached. Both bases have a thin velveteen attached to protect surfaces, the lower one has a flat sponge like rubber ring along the edges to keep it from slipping.
Measures approx. 15" long x 10" wide x 6" tall. Each tray is 2" deep, as is the support bar.
William Sklaroff designed the iconic "Radius One" desk accessory collection for Smith Metal Arts in 1963. The line was officially launched that same year and went on to win design awards, eventually entering the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
