This sink is in amazing condition for its 78 years, with a great majority of the small imperfections found being … Read more This sink is in amazing condition for its 78 years, with a great majority of the small imperfections found being impurities produced during the manufacturing process. Though it looks excellent from all angles, most everything found to point out was too small for the camera to pick up, so like all of our listings, the entire piece is described in detail. Top to bottom: The raised edge, including the backsplash, has the largest (very small) chip on the entire piece, located at the left front, on the inside measuring 0.06". The rest of this surface is fine. The slightly raised area where the faucet resides has faint marks at the holes that were, and will be, hidden from view when the sink is set up for use. The surface that includes the fluted soap decks is excellent overall with no damage, wear, or discoloration present, and there is none of the typical roughness from the lye in the soap at either of the soap locations. The interior of the bowl is very good down the sides to the bottom, where there are a few tiny, shallow chips in front of and to the right of the drain hole. The largest of these measures 0.03". The rest of the bowl is fine with only a couple very faint scratches to be found. The entire outside vertical surface of the sink is excellent overall. The only blemishes found to point out are two small "dots" on the left side toward the front. The larger of these is 0.04". These are not damage but were there when the sink was new. The underside is also in fine shape. There are a couple marks near the center from the pedestal; otherwise, all that was found were small impurities, such as two 0.03" specks on the left side and a 0.5" "chip" at the right, rear. The pedestal is in excellent condition on the front and sides without a scratch or chip, and there are some light "possibly removable" marks near the base and on the back. As far as built in impurities, there are two tiny marks up near the top of the front, a small blemish at the base of the front, and another one on the left side, near the front at the base. The interior is very clean and is damage free. Though we deal with these items on a daily basis, we were not able to come up with a manufacturer. The closest we come up with is "American Standard", produced 9/28/1948. Please see the pictures for further details.
