An exceptional and authentic signed Charles Schneider French Art Deco centerpiece dating to the 1920s, showcasing the celebrated glassmaker's mastery of color, form, and craftsmanship.
This museum-quality centerpiece features a large hand-blown mottled tangerine and amber art glass bowl supported by Schneider's signature vertically ribbed pedestal. The sculptural wrought iron base is beautifully decorated with hand-forged leaves and applied amber glass berries, creating an elegant botanical motif that perfectly complements the vibrant art glass.
The underside of the pedestal bears the original acid-etched "Schneider" signature, confirming authenticity.
The rich coloration ranges from fiery orange and amber to deep ruby tones, producing a warm glow that changes beautifully as light passes through the glass. The forged iron base retains its desirable original patina, adding depth and character while highlighting the exceptional French craftsmanship of the period.
Pieces of this caliber rarely come to market, especially examples retaining their original signed pedestal and decorative wrought iron mount. An outstanding addition to any collection of French Art Deco, Schneider, Daum, Gallé, or museum-quality decorative arts.
