Authentic late 19th-century Victorian Eastlake side chair, circa 1880–1895, featuring a beautifully carved walnut frame with geometric incised detailing, turned front legs and original wooden casters.
The chair retains older floral upholstery with decorative trim, giving it wonderful timeworn character. Its architectural lines and carved details make it an especially attractive accent chair for an eclectic, traditional, English-inspired or collected interior.
Structurally solid and sturdy. The upholstery shows noticeable fading and age-related wear, and the wood has expected surface wear and patina consistent with its age. Small historic insect holes are visible on the reverse of the carved crest. Please review photos for condition.
A striking decorative piece that can be enjoyed in its current antique state or reupholstered to suit a new interior.
